Dad’s Day

The boys and I made our Father’s Day cards this morning since we are leaving town later this week.  We went for quick and easy this time and they turned out well.

I have been known to drink a glass or two of wine to make it through “witching hour” at the Luckett House. I figured I might as well make use of this talent.

I saved a few corks from empty bottles and we used those to make some abstract art. My husband has some blank notecards that we used for our cards. I put a dab of paint on some old plastic lids. Before letting the boys get to work, I spread the paint around on the lid so that there wouldn’t be huge globs of paint all over the cards.

Here they are at work. Snacks and cars are a must when making masterpieces.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing dads!
